The new £5m development of the Battersea home involved the construction of new kennels, an intake centre and more external paddocks. This development is the largest in their 154 year history. The new building features a slick design which is sure to make the building a well known landmark in the surrounding areas.

Future Business Centre is a purpose built incubation centre encouraging the growth and developments of new start ups and entrepreneurs. The project architect was Saunders Boston and the facade incorporated a large variety of different sizes and colours.

The regeneration of the historic church building involved two storey access on either side. The architect stated “The result strikes a balance between the requirements of a modern church and the old church buildings and has been designed to serve our large, young and growing congregation.”

The new joint venture will see a cooperation between Consett Academy and the Leisure Centre. It will involve the 1700 students locating to a brand new state of the art facility. Also the new leisure centre will offer high quality facilities for the whole community. The £44m project. According to the architects, Seymour Harris stated “The creation of spaces, both internally and externally, in which to deliver various types of learning, the use of quality materials, colour and light to boost student personal esteem and attainment, have all been driving factors in the design.”

The £40m refurbishment of Leisure Plaza has been described as ‘huge and comprehensive’. The plans involved a new entrance, an upgraded capacity to 2500 seats. The building has now become a landmark and a hub for leisurely activity in the area.

The architect has stated that the building is “a key gateway to the city” and the building comes at a time when there is an increase in demand for accomodation in the city centre.
